If you’ve been on Facebook lately, chances are you’ve seen ads for the Heatoor Heater. It’s being marketed as a powerful compact heater that heat up a room in minutes with zero electricity cost.
As a mom who’s always trying to keep the house comfortable without running up costs, I’ll admit the ad caught my attention. The Heatoor sounded like a simple solution. Small plug in device. Quick heat. Low energy usage. So I decided to give it a try and ordered directly from heatoor.org.
This is my brutally honest review after using it.
What Is Heatoor Heater?
The Heatoor Heater is a compact plug in electric space heater. According to the ads, it is designed to heat small spaces quickly using ceramic heating technology while being energy efficient. The company promotes it as a smart heater that you can plug directly into a wall outlet without cords running across the floor.
It’s advertised as ideal for bedrooms, offices, bathrooms, dorm rooms, and basically anywhere you want instant heat without bulky equipment. The website makes some big claims about how fast it heats, how little power it uses, and how it can replace traditional heaters.
On paper, it sounds perfect. In real life, things are a bit different.
My experience using this portable heater
When the Heatoor Heater arrived, the first thing I noticed was how small it actually is. It’s lightweight, compact, and plugs straight into the wall, which at first felt convenient. No setup required. No instructions beyond basic buttons for power, temperature, and timer using the remote control.
I plugged it into a bedroom outlet and turned it on. Yes, it does blow out warm air fairly quickly. Within a few minutes, you can feel heat if you’re standing close to it. That’s the key part though. Close to it.
I kept it running for a while expecting the room to noticeably warm up the way the ads show. But after 20 to 30 minutes, the overall room temperature barely changed. The area directly in front of the heater felt warmer, but once you moved a few feet away, the warmth faded.
I tried it in different spaces. A small bathroom worked slightly better, but even then, it didn’t feel like the powerful heater shown in the ads. It does not heat an entire room evenly, and it definitely doesn’t replace central heating or a larger space heater.
Another thing I noticed is that while it claims to be ultra quiet, there is still a noticeable fan noise. It’s not loud, but it’s there. If you’re sensitive to sound while sleeping, this is something to consider.
Is the Heatoor Heater a Scam?
I wouldn’t call the Heatoor Heater an outright scam in the sense that it doesn’t work at all. It does produce heat. However, the advertising is extremely misleading.
The ads make it look like a powerful solution for heating rooms quickly and cheaply. In reality, it functions more like a personal heater for very small spaces. If you go into it expecting whole room warmth, you will be disappointed.
For the price, the performance simply doesn’t match the hype.
If you’re sitting at a desk and want warm air blowing directly on you, it might be okay. If you’re trying to take the chill out of a very small bathroom, it might help slightly. But for bedrooms, living rooms, or shared spaces, it’s not effective.
As a mom trying to keep multiple rooms warm, it just didn’t meet my needs just like the Helion heater I tried a while back.

I comes with a remote very important to have, since that controls the speed. The noise level is similar to that of fan, higher the louder, but when low its good. Its pretty easy to setup and functions well. Overall i think it has a lot of value.

If you’re a mom trying to stay warm without wasting money, I would personally skip the Heatoor Heater and invest in a proven space heater from a trusted brand instead. Sometimes boring and reliable beats trendy and disappointing.
