Is the Vseebox worth the hype? You know that moment when your husband comes home excited because “he found a way to watch all the channels for free”? Yeah… that was me last month.
I had just finished cleaning the living room, my toddler was finally napping, and my husband drops this sleek little black box in front of me like it’s the crown jewel of home entertainment. Enter: the Vseebox V5 Pro Live Streaming TV Box — the gadget that promised to give us every movie, TV show, sports event, and channel imaginable without the cable bill.
I’ll admit, it had me curious. As a mom of three, the thought of saving on monthly subscriptions sounded dreamy. But, like most “too good to be true” things, I learned a few things the hard way.

About the Vseebox V5 Pro
The Vseebox V5 Pro Live Streaming TV Box is basically an Android-based device that plugs into your TV and gives you access to hundreds of live TV channels, movies, and shows through apps and IPTV links. It comes with:
- The TV box itself
- A remote control
- HDMI cable
- Power adapter
- Pre-installed apps for streaming
- A promise of “all your entertainment in one place”
It runs on Android OS, so it feels a lot like using a smart TV, except with way more “unofficial” streaming options.
My experience using this live tv streaming box
Day 1
We unboxed it like it was Christmas morning. Setup looked simple following instructions on its manual page. Within minutes, we were scrolling through an endless list of channels from different countries. I found kids’ channels for the little ones, my husband found every sports channel known to man, and I had my K-drama fix ready.
Day 2
While some channels worked perfectly, others froze, buffered, or refused to load. It was a mix of “wow” and “ugh.” Netflix-style apps weren’t included, so you either downloaded them yourself or used the built-in ones with a lot of pop-ups.

Day 5
By now, I noticed that certain “premium” channels randomly disappeared. Sometimes you had to dig through menus to find the working link. It wasn’t always kid-friendly — no easy parental controls — so I had to keep the remote close.
Week 2
The novelty wore off fast. While it’s great for free content, I started wondering if this was even legal (more on that below). Plus, software updates weren’t smooth, and one night the thing froze mid-episode of Bluey, sending my kids into meltdown mode.
Week 3
It’s fun, but not dependable as your only TV source. I still had to keep Netflix and Disney+ because the kids’ stuff wasn’t always stable.
Vseebox V5 Pro Channel List (What I Got)
From my box, I could access:
- US local channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX – some worked, some didn’t)
- Kids channels (Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, BabyTV, Boomerang)
- Sports (ESPN, NBA TV, NFL Network, Fox Sports, beIN Sports)
- News (CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, Sky News)
- Movies (HBO, Showtime, Starz)
- International channels from UK, Canada, Australia, and more
Note: The list isn’t fixed — channels appear and disappear depending on the IPTV links available.
Is the Vseebox V5 Pro Legal?
Here’s the tricky part — the box itself is legal to buy. It’s just an Android TV device.
However… a lot of the “free” channels it gives you access to are actually paid channels being streamed without permission. That falls into a legal gray area (or outright illegal depending on your country).
If you’re in the US, UK, Canada, or Australia, streaming copyrighted content without paying is not considered legal. You could get warnings from your internet provider just like I did when I got the Wavemax TV antenna.
Better Alternatives on Amazon
If you want something dependable and legal:
- Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max – Thousands of apps, easy navigation, works great with Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video.
- Roku Streaming Stick 4K – Very user-friendly, tons of free legal content.
- NVIDIA Shield TV Pro – Premium Android TV box with official streaming apps, super fast performance.
Is It a Scam?
Not exactly — it’s a real device, and it does stream channels. But the advertising can be misleading. Some sellers market it as “free forever” with every channel, which isn’t true. Links can break, channels can vanish, and you’re not guaranteed perfect streaming.
How to Set Up the Vseebox V5 Pro
- Plug the HDMI cable into your TV and the Vseebox.
- Connect the power adapter and turn it on.
- Choose your WiFi network and enter the password.
- Browse the pre-installed apps or download new ones from the APK store provided.
- Select an IPTV playlist (if provided) to access live channels.
Pros and Cons of VseeBox
Pros
- No monthly subscription fees (if you can live with instability)
- Access to international channels
- Great for occasional sports events or rare shows
- Compact and easy to install
Cons
- Channel stability is hit or miss
- Legal risks depending on your country
- No guarantee channels will remain available
- No easy parental controls for kids
- Can be slow or freeze during high traffic
Final Verdict
The Vseebox V5 Pro can be fun if you know what you’re getting into — an unstable, unofficial streaming experience with access to channels you normally wouldn’t get. But if you’re looking for something stable for family movie nights, this isn’t it.
We still use ours occasionally for certain live sports, but our main entertainment comes from legal streaming apps. Sometimes, paying for peace of mind (and a meltdown-free Bluey session) is worth it.
Bought a SVeeBox Pro 5 through Amazon, When the device did not work (remote would not pair with the box), I contacted the company and was called an idiot for buying through Amazon.
It’s on its way back to Amazon today; the company is a scam and will never consider this “company” for anything.
Do not buy this product; I did (through an authorized reseller) and was given the complete runaround. “once bitten, twice shy!”
