But does Plexaderm really get rid of wrinkles? Are the before and after results true or is it just another marketing hoax? here’s my brutally honest review after trying this eye cream on my under eyebag.

Plexaderm Rapid Reduction Serum is an anti aging skincare product designed to temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, under eye bags and other signs of aging.
Unlike a traditional wrinkle cream that you apply consistently and wait weeks or months to see changes, Plexaderm is designed to work much faster.
The idea is simple. You apply a small amount to clean, dry skin and allow it to dry. As the product dries, it forms a tightening film on the surface of the skin. This temporarily pulls the skin tighter, making certain wrinkles and bags appear less noticeable.

My experience using this under eyebag and wrinkle cream
When I first tried Plexaderm, the tightening feeling was the first thing I noticed. As the product dried, I could actually feel my skin becoming tighter. It was a strange feeling at first, but I could also see why people like this product.
The skin around the treated area looked smoother, and some of my fine lines and under eye bags appeared less noticeable. The effect was especially noticeable when I looked at my face shortly after applying it.
But there was a catch The results were temporary. It didn’t last up to six hours. I think 4 hours max before my under eyebag went back to their usual state.
Meanwhile, you have to be careful with how much you apply. Too much can leave a visible film on the skin, which isn’t exactly the look I’m going for.
My problem with this eye cream is that it isn’t lasting even though company says the tightening effect can last for up to about 10 hours. This isn’t really true, especially for me and other users whose reviews I came across on TrustPilot.
If I’m to use it before an occasion or event, I’d have to snuck into a dressing room and reapply, which really isn’t convenient for me. I certainly don’t want to move around with the tube in my bag. As a postpartum mom of an eighteen months old baby, I really don’t have the time.
Also, I’ve to mention that it’s quite tricky applying MakeUp over it. During my first try, it made my makeup break. So here’s what I did differently that made it work the second time; I waited up to 15 minutes for it to completely dry, then I used water based foundation.
Side Effects
As someone who has sensitive skin, I was surprised that my skin didn’t react to this cream. Maybe my face has a tougher skin? LOL! Anyways, I did hear that it could also burning and skin irritation especially if you didn’t apply the right amount.
So yikes, you’ve got to use a tiny pea-sized amount, then massage it into the area.

What Works Better Than Plexaderm?
For long term effect, I now use RoC Retinol Correxion Under Eye Cream for Dark Circles & Puffiness. I have been using this for precisely 2 months now. I was applying it last night and thinking to myself man this is stupid this stuff isn’t working. BUT then this morning I took a pic to compare to my first picture that I took on the day I got the cream. WOAH ok ok *foot in mouth* TAKE A BEFORE PICTURE!!Â
So if you ask me what works better than Plexaderm, I’ll always recommend Roc Retinol Correxion. However, because it contains Retinol make sure you apply your sunscreen!

My Takeaway
If I had to choose between the two wrinkle creams I tested, I’ll always choose RoC Retinol Correxion for everyday skincare.
Plexaderm is impressive when you first see that tightening effect. That’s probably why the product has attracted so much attention. But once you understand that the effect comes from temporarily tightening the surface of the skin, it becomes easier to see Plexaderm for what it is: a quick cosmetic trick rather than a treatment that changes your skin long term.
RoC is the slower option. You don’t put it on and suddenly look years younger ten minutes later. But that’s actually what I prefer in a skincare product. I’m more interested in something I can use consistently as part of my routine than something that makes my skin feel extremely tight for a few hours.
That said, retinol isn’t automatically better for everyone. It can irritate sensitive skin, so anyone using a retinol eye product should follow the product directions and stop if significant irritation occurs.
Bottom line: Plexaderm wins for instant results, while RoC wins for a more traditional long-term skincare approach.
