Do you want to buy Studio Dermal Eye Tightener? here’s a honest review from a stressed stay at home mom who bought and used this eye cream for her under eye bags.

As a stay at home mum of three, I have my fair share of tired looking days which has led to under eye bags that make me look older than my age. So when I came across Studio Dermal Eye Tightener ads on social media, I was hooked. I had tried a couple of eye products which really didn’t work, however the reviews on the comment section convinced me to give it a try.

The brand was running a 60% discount, and also promises a 30 days money back guarantee. So I ordered a tube for $39 from the website ‘studiodermal.com’. Here’s my brutally honest review of Studio Dermal Instant Eye Tightener

About Studio Dermal Eye Tightener

Studio Dermal Eye Tightener is sold as a temporary solution for under eye bags, puffiness and visible signs of ageing. The brand claims it contains film forming silicates, seaweed extract and vitamin EThe main selling point is that it works in 90 seconds, without the need for expensive procedures or complicated skincare routines.

Anyways, my order took two weeks to be delivered.

My experience using this eye tightening cream

Studio Dermal has a medium consistency, so it is neither too thick nor too runny. It was easy enough to apply, although I noticed a little stinging around my eyes. That was not something I particularly enjoyed, especially considering how delicate the skin in that area is.

Now, I will give credit where it is due. The product did tighten my under eye bags to some extent, so I cannot honestly say it did nothing. The problem was that whenever I smiled, the area creased, and things got even worse when I applied makeup. Instead of helping me look fresh and put together, it made my makeup look awful. To make matters worse, the skin around my eyes became very dry and flaky. So it’s clearly not hydrating or moisturising.

Honestly, I was disappointed. I wanted something I could apply in the morning and get on with my day, not a product that made me worry about smiling or putting on makeup. The temporary tightening was nice, but it was not enough to make me overlook the other problems.

When I contacted the company to explain my experience, they asked me to send a photo of the product. I did exactly that, only to be told they could not refund me because the tube had already been opened.

Wait a minute. How am I supposed to know whether an eye tightener works for me without opening it and trying it?

I found the whole thing frustrating because the guarantee was one of the reasons I decided to buy in the first place.

It gets worse if you have an unopened tube to return. Tracked postage for one unused tube would cost me almost $15, and there is also a 15% restocking fee. By the time you factor in those costs, returning the product becomes pointless.

I understand that refunds can have terms and conditions, but I believe customers should be able to understand these restrictions before ordering.

Better Alternatives

I have been using 30S Instant Firming Eye & Face Cream on Amazon.com and I’m hooked!

I tried it mainly for my under-eye bags and fine lines, and within like 30 seconds I could literally see the tightening effect. My under-eyes looked smoother and less puffy almost instantly. It gives that lifted, firm look without feeling heavy or greasy. It’s  is easy to use. The texture is light, absorbs quickly and leaves the skin hydrated.
