Drying and Ironing Performance
The Aironox is basically a steaming machine that dries and irons at the same time. It does an okay job for casual shirts and polos. Most wrinkles vanish after a cycle, especially if the shirt is slightly damp. You can even spray water on dry clothes and the machine still does a decent job.
But here’s the catch: when you pull your shirts directly from the wash, the cuffs and collars rarely dry in the allocated cycle time. These areas also don’t iron well, so you’re left hanging them out to dry or pulling out the iron anyway. That part feels counterproductive, especially if you expected a “completely hands-off” solution.
Speed and Perfection
Does it iron quickly? No. It takes about 10 minutes to do the job. Does it iron perfectly? Also no. Compared to traditional ironing, the result is not as crisp, especially on structured shirts. That said, it’s very practical. I found it handy to pop a shirt on the machine, let it run while I washed dishes or had breakfast, and then come back to a shirt that was wrinkle-free enough to wear.
Noise Level
One thing to note: this machine is loud. Drinking tea comfortably next to it is not recommended. It sounds like a hair dryer on steroids. But if you use the time you’ve gained to vacuum or do another noisy chore, you won’t even notice.

- Remove the garment and let cuffs or collars finish drying if needed.
However, I get the best results this way:
I raise the collar of the clothes. This makes it really smooth and dries faster. I also use a clip to hold the collar together at the top. But be careful that the clip does not press a pattern into the fabric.
Resist the temptation to stop ironing when the shirt (cuffs!) It is not yet completely dry. This takes revenge in terms of smoothness.
When the shirt is ready and the device is switched off, I simply gently remove the collar from the hackbag (be careful with the sleeve pieces of the hackbag!) and pull it onto a hanger. This saves me the time-consuming task of opening and unbuttoning.
Best Alternatives
From my experience I’d advise either getting a portable steamer or a Standing Garment Steamer. They serve the purpose of drying and ironing efficiently without wasting time. They are also more affordable than Aironox and its likes.

Customers on Trustpilot have complained about long shipping times, no returns, and poor customer service. Interestingly, this same machine was sold a few years ago under the brand name Scavonus—so the branding has shifted, but the product remains the same.
This is why I recommend buying it on Amazon instead. It’s cheaper there, and you’ll get the benefit of Amazon’s reliable shipping and return policy if anything goes wrong.
