Does the Alien Power Multi Purpose Stain Remover really get rid of mold? I saw it popping up on TV promising to erase deep stains, tackle mold, mildew, e.t.c, and I fell for it.
I ordered it in August from buyalienpower.com with high hopes and a mental list of every stubborn thing I wanted to fix. But if I had known it would be as terrible as the MagAir mold remover device I tried some months back, I would have saved my money.

The brand claims that the formula “breaks down stains on a molecular level”, so of course it sounds fancy, scientific, and powerful.
My experience Using this Multi Purpose Stain Remover
When I tell you this buying experience tested my patience, I mean every word. I placed my order in August, right before school resumed, thinking it would arrive in a couple of weeks. I had this whole plan to deep clean my bathroom ceiling before life got too chaotic. Weeks went by. Then more weeks. Then an entire month. Then two. At some point, I genuinely thought I had been scammed.
It finally showed up in the last week of October; almost three full months after shipping. By then, I wasn’t even excited anymore. I was just irritated and ready to see what all the hype was about.
The box came with the little powder packets, a spray bottle, and instructions to mix it with water. I put everything together and gave it a good shake. The smell hit me instantly. Strong. Sharp. Exactly like bleach.
Still, I remained hopeful. My bathroom ceiling has this annoying mold that creeps in every rainy season. Not the surface level type you can wipe away, but the stubborn, embedded kind that laughs at regular cleaners. I grabbed the spray bottle and soaked the ceiling with Alien Power. Bleach based products can only clean the top surface, not remove the underlying spores, which is why the mold always comes back. And since Alien Power is essentially a branded bleach powder, it performs exactly like bleach. Surface level results and nothing deeper.
If you are buying this specifically for mold removal, please save your money. There are far more effective mold removers available, especially ones made for ceilings, grout, or bathroom corners.

- It removes light, daily stains like smudges, soap scum, and simple dirt.

- It works well on non porous surfaces like tiles and bathtubs.
- The spray bottle it comes with is decent.
Cons
- It does not remove mold no matter how much you spray or scrub.
- The ads feel exaggerated compared to real results.
- Strong bleach smell. Not ideal if you have kids around or poor ventilation.
- Can irritate the skin, eyes, and nose if used without care.

Is Alien Power Multi Purpose Stain Remover a Scam?
I wouldn’t call it a complete scam because it does get rid of dirt and stains, however the mold removal promise is false. It doesn’t totally remove mold. It might get rid of grout, and normal household stains, but it does very little for mold.
From my experience, it is not worth the hype, the wait, or the price. It’s simply bleach in a fancier outfit.
Final Thoughts
As a mother juggling multiple responsibilities, I always hope that products advertised as “powerful” will live up to the promise. Sadly, Alien Power did not. It cleaned light stains and everyday dirt, but it completely failed where I needed it the most. And waiting almost three months for it made the disappointment sting more.
If you’re considering it because of the dramatic ads, take it from another mom who fell for the same thing. It’s not the miracle cleaner it appears to be. It’s just a strong bleach cleaner dressed up as something revolutionary.
Save your money, your time, and your expectations. There are cheaper and far more effective cleaners already sitting on store shelves.

I was almost ready to pop down another chunk if change in another mold miracle, hoping to renew my determination in this horrible journey of flushing my money down the drain on another bleach based eye scorcher, nonsense earth-friendly colored water joke, or highly overpriced snake oil miracle worker. The best product so far is Simple Green 3D Pro or their Sim Gr 3D Pro 5 concentrate (one if the few products that still use didecyl dimethyl ammonia {or octtyl decyl} )as opposed to the Lysol products that started using the dimethyl benzyl ammonia type of Quat ammonia antibacterial/disinfectant which does NOTHING to mold (and most brands that always or recently switched for cost reasons to that active ingredient without any heads up).
I have to use either at very high concentrate and buy the gallon undiluted version …but it does a deeper clean than most Still, it does not totally kill stubborn mold on porous surfaces. if you can find 9% vinegar, HEB sells or you get get higher conc online. That works but takes a half hour or more and has to remain moist then rinse the dead stuff and repeat until you burn your lungs or fall asleep (and it helps to have a air purifer close in addition to protective gear as the mold get quite angry and can release toxic spores while its legs roll up and a house falls on it like the wicked witch. This stuff is truly wicked.
And these so called experts that recommend bleach, diluted hyd peroxide or just regurgitate some other site and never actually test or verify it……or tell you to throw everything away… dont live in the world of reality. I can tell you I have tried hundreds of hope-in-a-jar products and I still dream of a day when consumers become better educated about bleach (the whole scam they did on us with the bleach during COVID and how splashleas bleach has replaced the old version and contains a mysteriously low amount of bleach….so little they no longer need a warning label for consumers or shipping. And you have to purchase whats labelled “Disinfecting bleach” to get what you used to get at 7% but pay 3 times as much) When consumers get the honest reviews that dont just site someone elses research or opinion. and actually test the product to verify the the end results, hopefully they demand a better product.

I am a senior citizen, have lived alone for the past 16 years. I have fallen for what I thought were honest products and that includes people hired for work. I have sadly learned to be skeptical to a fault. The amount of wasted money, time, effort and most especially trust.
I have had to redo, pay more money, live with what I had or watch the effect the product or bad work ruin another thing in turn. Suffice it to say my trust level is nil, patience is thin and the filter on my words near non existent. The money I’ve lost could take a nice chunk from my existing mortgage but the lessons I’ve learned are invaluable.
I diligently check reviews now yet I even question those as possible fakes or not equally given along with bad ones. With AI it’s getting harder and harder to discern what is true.
I had seen the tv ad for Alien mold remover and obviously it seemed to good to be true and several sought reviews were poor at best. I live in a 120 yr old house and thankfully the worse mold I’ve seen is in the gasket and detergent trays of my front loading washer (which will never own another again). The house itself has been very good however I am sure there is some hidden within old wood in porch overhangs etc. Thanks to this article I will be armed with a better product to combat this.
