As a mom of three (with pets running around, too), cleaning is an everyday survival skill in my house. So when I stumbled upon Athos Cleaning Products, I was curious. Their sleek website promised plant-based, eco-friendly, effective solutions without all the chemical junk we’re used to.

And because I love trying products that claim to make mom life easier, I went all in and ordered the Premium Starter Bundle directly from athosliving.com.

About Athos Cleaner

Athos is not your average cleaning brand. They stand out because they create plant-based cleaning solutions that are designed to be safe for families, effective on tough messes, and eco-friendly. Instead of filling your home with harsh chemicals, their formulas are made with thoughtfully chosen natural ingredients that are biodegradable and safe to use around kids and pets.

What also makes them unique is their refill system. Instead of buying endless plastic bottles, you get sleek reusable spray bottles and simply refill them with concentrated formulas. It’s designed to cut down on plastic waste while still giving you that satisfying “fresh bottle” feeling when cleaning day comes around.

What I Ordered

I went for the Premium Starter Bundle for $74.80, which includes:

  • Bathroom Concentrate Peppermint (4 fl oz) – Tackles tough bathroom grime while leaving behind a fresh peppermint scent. Makes 4 x 16 oz bottles.
  • Multi-Surface Concentrate Orange Bergamot (4 fl oz) – A versatile formula for countertops, tables, and floors with a citrusy scent. Makes 4 x 16 oz bottles.
  • Glass & Window Concentrate (4 fl oz) – Streak-free, unscented formula for glass and mirrors. Makes 4 x 16 oz bottles.
  • Reusable Bathroom Bottle (16 oz)
  • Reusable Multi-Surface Bottle (16 oz)
  • Reusable Glass & Window Bottle (16 oz)
  • 3-Pack of Deep Cleaning Brushes
  • 6-Pack of Reusable Absorbent Towels

Basically, it’s a starter kit that sets you up with everything you need to swap from regular chemical cleaners to Athos’ eco-friendly system.

My experience using this cleaning products

Unboxing felt like a little lifestyle upgrade; the bottles are modern and sleek, the towels are sturdy and reusable, and the brushes actually feel built to last.

Bathroom Concentrate Peppermint: This one became my favorite. The scent was fresh but not overwhelming, and it actually cut through toothpaste splatter on the sink and soap scum in the tub better than I expected. The peppermint left the bathroom smelling clean, not “chemical fresh.”

Multi-Surface Orange Bergamot: This was nice for kitchen counters and even my dining table. The citrus scent made cleaning feel less like a chore and more like a little refresh. It wasn’t the most heavy-duty cleaner I’ve ever used, but for everyday wipe-downs, it worked beautifully.

Glass & Window Cleaner: I had mixed feelings here. It did the job on mirrors and windows, but I still had to go over them with a dry towel to avoid streaks. Not terrible, but not perfect.

Towels & Brushes: The absorbent towels were thicker than your average rag and held up through several washes. The brushes were handy for grout and sink scrubbing, definitely sturdier than the dollar-store type.

Overall, I loved the eco-friendly concept, the reusable design, and the scents. But I’ll be real, it’s not a magic cleaning potion. Some spots (like hard water stains) still needed stronger stuff.

Pros and Cons of Athos Cleaner

Pros

  • Premium packaging (feels high-quality)
  • Fresh, natural scents
  • Towels & brushes included in the bundle are super useful

Cons

  • Pricey compared to generic cleaners
  • Glass cleaner can leave streaks if not dried properly
  • Doesn’t always cut through really tough stains
  • Refills only available online (no quick Target run if you run out)

Alternatives on Amazon (Affordable & Eco-Friendly)

If you love the idea of eco-friendly cleaners but want something a bit more affordable or easier to grab with your Prime membership, here are some great alternatives:

These are all refill-friendly, eco-conscious, and definitely easier on the wallet than Athos.

Final Thoughts

Athos Cleaner really impressed me in terms of branding, safety, and making eco-cleaning feel chic and doable. The peppermint bathroom spray and citrus multi-surface spray were my top picks, and the reusable towels were a nice bonus. But the higher price and the occasional streaks on glass do make me think twice.

Would I repurchase? Probably for the bathroom concentrate because I loved the peppermint scent and how well it worked. For everything else, I’d be just as happy grabbing a Method or Mrs. Meyer’s bottle off Amazon.
