Do you battle nail fungus? Do you want to buy FungiClear Phrena after seeing its Ads online? Please read this review. As someone who has dealt with stubborn nail fungus for quite a while, I was naturally curious when I began seeing endless ads about a fungus cream called FungiClear. Both my husband and I suffer from nail fungus. Mine is mild, but his is much more severe, so we thought it would be the perfect way to test if this product really works for both cases.

After seeing those ads over and over again, I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered 3 bottles directly from the official website, phrena.com, to avoid getting a dupe, and it cost me around $59.

About FungiClear Phrena

FungiClear Phrena is marketed as a topical antifungal cream designed to target nail fungus and related fungal infections. According to the website, it is s a fast acting solution that penetrates the nail bed and works at the root of the infection. The site suggests it is suitable for stubborn fungal cases and implies US based quality and distribution.

It is presented as an easy daily application cream, no prescriptions, no oral medication, and no need for expensive podiatry visits. For anyone dealing with nail fungus, especially severe cases, those claims are very appealing.

The ingredients listed is; Oregano Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Vitamin E and Allantoin.

Our experience trying this fungus cream

This is where the story splits. Although the website strongly suggests a US based product, the package arrived from China. It took 13 days to reach us, which is not terrible, but it was definitely not what the website led me to expect.

We both used FungiClear Phrena consistently, following the instructions carefully. Daily application, clean nails, patience. We gave it time because fungal treatments are never instant.

For my husband, who had mild nail fungus, the cream actually worked. Over time, the discoloration faded, the nail began to look clearer, and the fungus visibly improved. It was not an overnight miracle, but it was progress, and eventually, his nail looked healthy again. For mild cases like his, FungiClear Phrena did deliver results.

My experience was very different.

My nail fungus is severe. Thickened nail, deep discoloration, and clear signs that the infection had embedded itself well beneath the surface. I used the same cream, the same routine, the same consistency. Weeks went by, then months.

The fungus did not spread, but it also did not retreat. The nail remained thick, yellowed, and stubbornly unchanged. No visible clearing. No improvement. No signs that the cream was reaching deep enough to make a difference.

This was disappointing but also realistic. Severe nail fungus is notoriously hard to treat, especially with topical products alone. In my case, FungiClear Phrena simply was not strong enough to penetrate deeply and eliminate the infection.

Does FungiClear Phrena really work for nail fungus?

After using it for several weeks, my honest answer would be yes, but with limits.

If you have a mild or early fungal infection, FungiClear Phrena can help improve the appearance of your nails and possibly slow down the spread of the fungus. The technology seems to have some merit, and it’s easy and safe to use.

However, if your infection is severe or has been around for years, I doubt this little light will do much. My husband’s experience proved that point clearly. In such cases, oral or prescription topical antifungal treatments from a dermatologist are still the best option.

Another thing to note is that this device doesn’t magically “kill” the fungus overnight. The nail still has to grow out completely, which can take months, even if the fungus has been treated. So patience is key.

I also think some of the online ads make it sound like you’ll have brand new nails in a week, which is simply not true. It’s more of a gradual improvement rather than a fast fix.

Better Alternative

After our disappointing experience with FungiClear, I decided to check on Amazon.com for the best recommended one.

I got the Neome Nail Fungus Pen which cost about $19. It was delivered in 2 days (thanks to Amazon Prime membership).

The pictures speak for themselves. This stuff truly works. My husband applies it right after shower and before going to bed. It dries very quickly and is super easy to use the with brush pen. Just be sure to continue using it until all the fungus has completely grown off. Two weeks later result;

Some people jumped the gun and had to start over. So at least, keep using it for a couple of months, this will keep it from spreading as your nail grows. He used a sponge type nail file and thinned his nail, as much as possible, to aid in absorption and apply under the nail now that it’s grown. His is almost healed. Almost.. here’s my 4 weeks result; Note – He is still applying it.

Pros

It is easy to apply
The cream texture is pleasant and not greasy
It showed real results for mild nail fungus
No harsh burning or irritation during use

Cons

Did not work for severe nail fungus
Ships from China despite US marketing tone
Results are slower and limited

Final Thoughts

FungiClear Phrena sits in that gray area many health products fall into. It is not a scam, but it is not a one size fits all solution either. In my household, it helped my husband completely clear a mild fungal issue. For me, with a more advanced condition, it simply did not go deep enough to solve the problem.

If you are dealing with early stage nail fungus and want to try a topical cream, this may be worth considering. If your fungus is severe, long standing, or has not responded to other treatments, this product is unlikely to be enough on its own.
