If you want to buy the Kivora lipstick here’s a honest review from a stay at home mom who bought and tested this color changing lipstick.
So I gave this lipstick a try after seeing convincing claims on the website ‘trykivora.co’. I placed an order and it was delivered in less than two weeks. Is it really worth the price? did it really change to a color that suits my complexion?
Spoiler alert: I wasn’t impressed.

About Kivora Lipstick
Kivora Signature Lipstick is a pH reactive color changing lipstick. The idea is that the lipstick reacts with your natural lip chemistry and produces a shade that is supposed to look different depending on the person wearing it.
According to trykivora.co, the formula contains squalane, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E, and the company says it is designed to hydrate the lips while providing a natural tint. It also claims that the lipstick can last for around 6 to 8 hours, although another section of the website says customers report 14+ hours of wear.
The website currently lists the lipstick at a buy one get one free offer of $34.99.
My experience using this PH adjusting lipstick
My package from Kivora was sent and delivered from China. Upon unboxing, I was surpised to see it branded Vanlin Maydy, no mention of Kivora on the packaging. They look like the sort of cheap lipsticks you buy on market stalls in Hong Kong and throughout China.
I’ve tried a couple of color changing lipsticks before, and honestly they look and felt far better than this one. When I applied it, the lipstick glided smoothly across my lips like a balm, though the shiny golds prickled my lips.
Within a few seconds, the color slowly began to appear. On my lips it turned into a soft pink shade. However, I wasn’t pleased with the result.
Firstly, it doesn’t last for hours as claimed. Also, it easily wipes off. Â I put it on at 9:45 for church. By the time I got home, less than 3 hours later, it looked as if I had never put lipstick on. I honestly don’t see how this lipstick wouldn’t bleed on mature lips if you’ve wrinkled lips. So, I don’t think it’s actually a great product for mature lips as claimed.
I’ve bought inexpensive color changing lipsticks on Amazon that cost around $9 for two pieces, and honestly, they didn’t leave me thinking, “Wow, I should have spent $30 or more on this.”
That is the part I really want other moms to think about. We already have enough things competing for our money. Why spend $35 on a pair of cheap lipsticks when we can get a decent positive reviewed one on Amazon for $9?

Does Kivora Signature Lipstick really last for hours?
No, it does not last long as claimed. I applied it for church and before 3 hours my lips were bare. Honestly, the claims that it lasts for up to 6hrs is farfetched. It would need a couple of re-application to last for six or more hours.
Alternatives
If you’re looking for a last long lipstick that fully hydrates and moisturizes your lips, I’d suggest getting this Wonderskin Lip Stain on Amazon. It’s waterproof, long lasting, and has lots of great reviews on Amazon. I just got one for occasional use.
For daily use, I use this affordable PH adjusting lipstick which is sold for 2pcs $9 on Amazon.com. It lasts longer than Kivora. Though of course it’s cheap and shipped from China. But it serves it purpose.
