Does the Quietlab Pro anti snoring mouthpiece really work? If there’s one thing that’ll test your marriage and your sanity, it’s snoring. My husband snores off and on, especially when tired.

I’ve tried white noise, earplugs, strategic elbow jabs, and even moving to the couch. So when I kept seeing ads for QuietLab Pro, I figured… why not?

But did it live up to the hype? Here’s my no BS review

What is QuietLab Pro

QuietLab Pro is the updated version of the QuietLab Plus, an adjustable anti-snoring mouthguard. It’s basically a device that holds your lower jaw slightly forward while you sleep, opening up the airway to reduce vibrations (aka snoring). It’s designed to be:

  • Smaller and thinner than most mouthguards
  • Adjustable with 25 settings
  • Made from BPA-free, medical-grade materials
  • Shipped with a travel case and 30-night “risk-free” trial

The current price when I ordered was around $59, but they keep flashing discounts with urgency timers that reset every few hours. Classic online marketing.

Using QuietLab Pro Anti-snoring Mouthpiece

It arrived in a few days. The packaging was neat, and the instructions were easy to follow. It doesn’t require any molding procedure. Simply separate the top and bottom trays and customize it to your bite. Place it in your mouth and let it do the rest while you sleep.

The first night? Not bad. My husband did say it felt a bit awkward and tight at first, but he adjusted to it within 20 minutes. I braced myself for a rough night…

But I didn’t wake up once. The only problem is that if you sleep with your mouth open, it often flies out of your mouth. Some precautions are needed to keep your mouth shut.

Also, the mouthpiece does cause some dryness in the mouth in the morning.

By the third night, I actually forgot he was wearing it — because there was no snoring. No snorting. No prehistoric beast noises. Just sleep.

That said, it wasn’t perfect. He woke up the first two mornings with some mild jaw soreness (which the instructions warned about), and it took about a week before it stopped being noticeable.

Also, the device needs cleaning every morning and has to be stored carefully, and not forgeting that the pieces are very flimsy plastic (base) and EVA plastic (tooth pieces) that both warp over time. So! It only last 30 days!

What You Should Know Before Buying This Anti Snoring Mouthguard

It doesn’t work for everyone. A friend of ours tried it and it didn’t work for him. It was highly uncomfortable and impacted his jaw alignment after waking up each day, which caused jaw pain.

If you’re a heavy snorer, Quietlab Pro might not work for you. The only positive reviews I have seen are those with mild snoring.

Pros

  • Thinner and less bulky than other mouthpieces we’ve tried
  • Fully adjustable, so you can ease into it instead of cranking your jaw forward all at once
  • Comes with a sturdy case and clear instructions
  • Actually reduced snoring significantly within a few nights
  • No subscription trap, and we had no issues with delivery or customer service

Cons

  • The first few nights may cause jaw discomfort or drooling
  • It takes time to figure out the right adjustment level
  • Not suitable for mouth breathers or those with dental work or TMJ issues
  • May not help if snoring is caused by sleep apnea (which requires a medical-grade solution)

Does It Actually Work?

For us? Yes — shockingly well.

It didn’t magically eliminate every sound, but the growling, gasping snores? Gone. I can finally fall asleep without earbuds or pillow barricades. And he sleeps better too — fewer tosses and no waking up from his own snoring (which used to happen nightly).

But I’ll be real — this won’t work for everyone. If you snore due to nasal issues or sleep apnea, this might not touch it. And if you can’t tolerate something in your mouth while sleeping, steer clear.

Alternatives to QuietLab Pro

If QuietLab Pro doesn’t work for you, here are a few other legit options:

  • ZQuiet – Similar concept, a bit pricier, but made in the USA and very popular
  • SnoreRx – One of the most customizable MADs on the market, but bulkier
  • CPAP machine – If snoring is caused by sleep apnea, this is your medical gold standard

FAQ

Is QuietLab Pro FDA approved?
It’s made with FDA-cleared materials, but the device itself is not FDA-approved. That’s typical for OTC mouthguards.

Will it work for sleep apnea?
Probably not. This is designed for mild to moderate snoring, not diagnosed apnea. If you suspect apnea, see a doctor first.

Does it hurt your teeth or jaw?
It can cause temporary jaw soreness at first, especially if you overtighten the setting. It goes away after a few nights for most users.

How long does one mouthpiece last?
With daily use and proper cleaning, expect 6–12 months of use before it may need replacing.
