If you’ve been around my blog for a while, you’ll know I’m a sucker for anything wearable tech. Smart watches, rings, earbuds, e.t.c. Between chasing after three kids, cleaning up spills, and trying to catch my breath, these little devices help me feel like I have some control over my chaotic life.

Sometime last month, I stumbled on Ads for the Herz P1 Smart Ring. I already have a smartwatch, but sometimes I don’t want anything strapped to my wrist.

So I placed an order directly on their Amazon store as I didn’t want to deal with the shipping hassles of their official website.

About Herz P1 Smart Ring

The Herz P1 is a smart ring that promised all the basics: heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, step counting, and even a “Find My Ring” feature. It was affordable, available on Amazon, and thanks to my Prime membership, it arrived in 2 days flat.

Now, before you order, please check your size, there’s a detailed sizing guide here. I made the mistake of not using the guide. Then I ordered the same size as my wedding ring that fits on the ring finger of both hands perfectly but when I got the ring it’s sized too small. So I’m left with it only fitting my pinky finger.

What app does the herz p1 use?

The smart ring uses the Qring app which is available on your phone’s store. There is a QR code to download app on the manual that’s how I got the app.

While using, I discovered it has similar UI design like Oura app. However, it only records the following information: Kcal Steps Mile Sleep Heart rate Sport record HRV Blood oxygen Stress Menstrual

My experience using Herz P1 Smart Ring

Manufactured and shipped by WuzuTech, here’s what I observed; the ring scratches easily, and the battery life is questionable. In the first week, a full charge last me 3 days not 6 days. Now in my 8th week, a full charge barely last 2 days.

The Sleep Tracking isn’t accurate. One time, I was awake since 3 am and the ring still said I had 7 hours of sleep whereas I slept by 12am. It just gives a generic sleep score without detailed sleep stage breakdowns.

The find my ring feature is basically useless. I had high hopes for this… until I realized it just makes the ring flash a tiny LED light when you press a button in the app. Now tell me, how does that help when your ring is buried under a couch cushion or swallowed up by your toddler’s toy box? It’s about as useful as a flashlight in broad daylight.

However, for the price, it is a solid watch. This is my 8th week and it hasn’t broken down even though I’ve worn it daily.

Herz P1 vs Ultrahuman Ring Air vs Oura Ring

Here’s where things get interesting. I’ve owned the Ultrahuman Ring Air (gifted it to my sister during her visit) and tried my friend’s Oura Ring for a week.

If you’re after affordability without the baggage of subscriptions, Herz P1 is a fair buy. But if you want serious fitness data and accuracy, and have the budget, the Ultrahuman Ring Air is worth the splurge.

Pros

  • Affordable, especially for first-time smart ring users
  • No subscription or hidden fees
  • Decent heart rate, step, and calorie tracking
  • Quick 30-minute charging
  • Comfortable for daily wear

Cons

  • Sleep tracking is basic and sometimes inaccurate
  • Battery life falls short
  • App lacks advanced health metrics

Is Herz P1 smart ring Worth Buying?

If you’re on a budget and looking for a no-subscription smart ring that handles basic health and fitness tracking, the Herz P1 Smart Ring is worth considering. It’s not in the same league as the Ultrahuman or Oura, but for everyday step counting, heart rate checks, and a sleep overview, it does fine.

Would I recommend it to my fellow mom friends? Yes — if they just want an affordable, no-fuss ring to wear around the house or while chasing kids at the park.

But if you’re serious about tracking your health data in detail, and you can stretch your budget, I’d say save up for the Ultrahuman Ring Air. It’s miles ahead in terms of accuracy and features.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the Herz P1 Smart Ring need a subscription?
Nope. One-time purchase. Free app.

Q: How long does the battery last?
Advertised 5 days, but realistically around 2.5 – 3 days.

Q: How accurate is the health tracking?
Good enough for casual daily use, but not for medical-grade or serious fitness enthusiasts.

Q: How do I find my ring if I lose it?
Good luck. The “Find My Ring” just makes the ring blink a tiny light. Not helpful under a bed or inside a toy chest.
