When I first came across the Lumiboard LED Drawing Board, it was through one of those eye-catching Cosmody.com ads on social media. It promised a fun, mess-free, creative experience that would keep kids entertained without needing paper after paper of drawings scattered across the floor.
I was completely sold. It looked sleek, educational, and the glowing effect was just too pretty to ignore. But after using it and living through the entire process from purchase to playtime, I realized this product isn’t anywhere near what those ads claim. If anything, it turned out to be one of my most frustrating online buys.

According to Cosmody.com, it’s supposed to inspire creativity and make drawing more exciting. The package includes the LED board, a few colored markers, a stand, a cleaning rag, and a USB cable. On paper, it sounds like a dream for parents looking for an educational toy that’s both reusable and fun.
My experience using this LED drawing board
The day I decided to order it, I felt like I’d found a hidden gem. The website looked polished and convincing, and the checkout was smooth. I got an order confirmation right away, but no clear tracking number or shipping estimate. After about three weeks with no sign of my package, I emailed customer support. The reply I got was short and vague, just a reassurance that it was on the way.
In total, it took nearly seven weeks for it to arrive. Seven long weeks. When the box finally showed up, it was smaller than I expected and came with a shipping label from China, not the United States as the website suggested. The packaging was a bit dented and didn’t look like what was shown in the ads.
Opening it, my first disappointment hit right away. There was no USB A adapter included, only a cord. That meant I couldn’t plug it into the wall without using one of my phone chargers. For a product this pricey, that felt careless.

Doodle Glow Board – I got this a single board from this brand. This 13.7″ x 10″ LED drawing board is easy to clean and built to last. Its top perforated design allows for hanging, and adjustable buttons let you control the light size and flashing frequency.
And Guess what? It has a USB A adapter, a longer cord, The size (13.7” x 10”) is perfect, big enough to display art, but still easy to move around.
I also got another lumiboard from another brand on Amazon. This one is larger; 16 inches, and is rechargeable (doesn’t come with an adapter though). My only complaint is the small “feet” that are supposed to stand the board up are very flimsy and the board topples over easily.
